10.1 Phlogopite orthopyroxene anorthosite. Nain, Labrador. The rock is phaneritic to pegmatitic and composed predominantly of labradorite plagioclase feldspar showing labradorescence (a play of colors in the feldspar). Accessory phlogopite and orthopyroxene, both dark brown to black, fill inter-grain areas between large plagioclase grains of white, brown, greenish-brown, and brownish black color.
