An important note about textbook prices from the Publisher.

Waveland Press has always included the price to students in all of its advertising. For better than thirty years, our goal has been to offer quality textbooks at reasonable prices for students. When comparing a price shown on our Web site with a similar book sold by another publisher, please note that we show list prices that reflect the actual price to the student. Many college publishers opt for net pricing, which creates unnecessary confusion for faculty who want to know how much students will pay for a particular book. (To compare our prices with those of publishers quoting net prices, calculate the actual student price—the list price—by multiplying their net price by 1.25.)

In 2004, the Chronicle of Higher Education published articles on the price of textbooks. The Government Accountability Office began to investigate textbook pricing after a Congressional hearing was called to discuss the issue. We hope you will find what you need for your students on these pages and that our prices are an additional incentive to assign our books.
